Healthy Schools Partnership Bronze Award
At St Margaret’s Primary School we are currently working towards renewing our Bronze for the Healthy Schools Programme. All pupils in our care have a right to be healthy and to achieve at school and in life. By achieving the Healthy Schools award we can show that as a school we are able to enhance the emotional and physical aspects of health that will lead to improved health, reduced health inequalities, and increased social inclusion and will raise achievement for all.
By teaching children good habits about their physical and mental health, we can help them reach their full potential. In order to achieve this we have been reviewing our school policies and so far this year, we have launched a number of new policies these include: Mental health and Well-being, School food and packed lunch policy.
